Power Cuts Hit Industries: Raju

Raju, alleged that small and medium scale industries are facing serious problems because of power cuts in the state.He was addressing representatives of Small and Medium Scale Industries situated in SPSR Nellore district during a seminar to create awareness on IT solutions to improve the business here on Friday.He stressed the need to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises (SME) while referring to their contribution of 40 per cent in the manufacturing sector through 15,000 products. There are six lakh SMEs in the state out of 23 million units in the country, he said.Mr Raju said that the Government of India has allocated Rs.300 crore to National Small Industries Corporation to promote the SMEs while referring to their share of 35 per cent in exports. He called upon the entrepreneurs to make use of IT solutions to widen their reach.
  • “The hardware and software computing and communication form the basic tools for IT. It enables better designs leading to better understanding. These efforts including working with clients to satisfy present needs and also awareness of future technology, organisational and human concerns so as to support transition to new information technology based services” Mr Raju said. Speaking on the occasion, the general manager of District Industries Centre, Mr M. Murali Mohan, said that there are 33 small, 53 medium and 25 large industries in SPSR Nellore district. Referring to the popularity of the district for its agriculture activity, he said that the district has also became a hub for industries and future destination for major industries because of the infrastructure such as port and four-lane highway.Mr Atul Bengeri of Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd, Mr Mohan Ram of Mobilistic Information Solutions and Phaneendra of Intense Solutions dwelt at length on their IT products and also cleared the doubts of industrialists during the seminar.
