Ministry of Road Transport & Highways:Bidding and Awarding of National Highway Projects

  • All National Highways Development Project (NHDP) projects are awarded under international competitive bidding. The award process follows the procedures laid down in Request for Qualification (RFQ)/ Request for Proposal (RFP) documents approved by the Government. For free, fair, transparent and fearless participation by bidders, e-tendering has also been introduced in National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) which is a fully transparent procedure in which the bidders can even see their status in each tendering process online.This information was given by the Minister of State of Road Transport and Highways, Dr. Tushar A. Chaudhary in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
