New Toll Road on NH-24 to Ease NCR Commuters’ Woes By 2015

  • Commuting between Noida, Ghaziabad and national capital Delhi will be made easier with upcoming new toll road on NH-24 between Noida Sector 62 and Indirapuram in Ghaziabad area. The toll road will be 14 kilometer long and will actually start from UP Gate near Ghazipur at Delhi-Ghaziabad border.The toll road slated to benefit thousands of commuters between Noida, Ghaziabad and Delhi will have 14 lanes out of which eight lanes will lead towards Noida Expressway and other six lanes will be leading towards Raj Marg. NH-24 toll road will help thousands of commuters commuting towards Delhi for their professional work everyday. According to the scheme of state planning, the new line will be opened for commuters by 2015.
  • A meeting will be held next week between Noida, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), Greater Noida and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for discussing of logistics of the entire 14 kilometer long toll road.According to Union Road Transport Minister, Jitin Prasad, “The construction of NH-24, 14 lanes toll should start as soon as possible.”It will help to reduce the vehicular traffic on the roads of Noida and Greater Noida. The 64 km stretch of NH-24 from Nizzamudin in Delhi to Merrut will be made a smooth ride road in the near future as alongside the NH lots of developments are under way till Meerut.
  • This will be the third toll road between Noida- Delhi, the first being the DND Flyway and second the Mayur Vihar-DND Toll link road which are used by lakhs of commuters everyday. Delhi Noida bridge is one of the first bridge across the Yamuna connecting Noida with Delhi and is the only one that is tolled. The flyway has helped in reducing the traffic and provides relief to commutes and it is the preferred option of motorists due to heavy congestion on the other bridges.
