BPCL Announces Major Appraisal Success in Mozambique

  • Bharat PetroResources (BPRL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), advises that Anadarko Mocambique Area, the Operator of exploration block in Rovuma basin, Area I, offshore Mozambique, has announced that the Lagosta-2 appraisal well encountered 237 net meters of natural gas pay in multiple zones, in multiple zones, successfully appraising the previous Lagosta and Camarao discoveries.The Lagosta-2 appraisal well is located about 7 kilometres north of the Lagosta discovery and 8.5 kilometres south of the Camarao. The well was drilled to a total depth of approximately 4,335 meters in water depths of approximately 1,467 meters.
