Reliance All Set to Pull The Plug on Jhajjar SEZ

 

  • Sources tell CNBC-TV18 that Reliance Inustries is all set to pull the plug on its Jhajjar special economic zone project because project economics have been rendered unviable and operations on ground have been on hold for a long period. RIL's Haryana SEZ was being set up through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) in partnership with the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corp Ltd.
  • CNBC-TV18 learns that the company has intimated the government about its plans to exit the SEZ and that the de-notification will follow in due course.
