  • The international crude oil prices for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was higher at US$ 117.49 per barrel (bbl). The price, computed and published by PPAC on their website is based on last trading day’s figures of 13.2.2012. The price computed/ published on 13.2.2012 based on trading figures of 10.2.2012 was US$ 116.63 per bbl. In rupee terms also the crude oil price was higher  today at Rs 5794.61  against Rs 5789.51  per bbl published on 14.2.2012 due to  higher crude price in dollar terms, despite rupee appreciation recording an exchange rate of Rs 49.32 /US$ against Rs 49.64 /US$ published on 13.2.2012.
