Nitish Hold Discussions With NTPC Chairman

  • Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today held a meeting with Chairman of NTPC Arup Roy Choudhary to discuss the progress of the NTPC projects and expansion of Kahalgaon plant in the state. Choudhary, accompanied by senior officials of NTPC, called on Kumar at latter's official residence here and had a meeting with him to brief him about the NTPC projects in Bihar. Kumar during the discussions,laid thrust on early completion of NTPC projects in Bihar and expansion of the NTPC plant at Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur. He also held discussions on the progress of NTPC project at Barh and Barauni. Kumar stressed the need for accelerating the pace of works on the power project being jointly set up by the NTPC and Bihar State Electricity Board at Navinagar in Aurangabad district. Bihar State Electricity Board chairman P K Rai and state Energy Secretary A K Naik were also present during the hour long meeting.
