International Price of Crude Oil - Indian Basket Registers Marginal Decline on 21.2.2012

  • The international crude oil prices for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has marginally declined to US$ 119.36 per barrel (bbl). The price, computed and published by PPAC on their website is based on last trading day’s figures of 21.2.2012. The price last computed/ published on 21.2.2012 based on trading figures of 20.2.2012, was US$ 119.55 per bbl.
  • In rupee terms also, the crude oil price was lower today at Rs 5858.19 against Rs 5883.06 per bbl published on 21.2.2012 due to decline in crude oil price in dollar terms, and rupee appreciation with rupee/dollar exchange rate of Rs49.08 /US$ on 21.02.2012 against Rs 49.21 /US$ on 20.2.2012.
