Remove Encroachments from Construction Site: Gaur

  • State Urban Administration and Development Minister Babulal Gaur visited the Khajuri Khurd on Raisen Road in ward number 59, besides Piriya Mohalla, and Jabranpura on Thursday.He instructed the BMC officers to carry on the construction of main road and drain of Khajuri Khurd and to remove the encroachments creating hurdles in the construction works.Gaur was accompanied by Additional Commissioner of BMC Arvind Dubey, Corporator Manish Yadav and other officials of BMC on the occasion. He instructed to prepare estimation for the construction of main road and drains of the area for the convenience of the locals.He also inspected the ongoing development works going on in the Piriya Mohalla selected under the Project Utthan of Madhya Pradesh Urban Services for the Poor (MPUSP). Dubey informed the UAD Minister that various construction works worth over `one crore are going on in this area. The ongoing development works of the area include construction of roads, sewage lines, drinking water facility, electricity and Utthan Bhawan. All the infrastructural development works would be completed by March this year, the Minister was told.

  • The UAD Minister also took the occasion to donated Rs 10,000 from his discretionary fund, to one of the temple of Piriya Moholla for organising cultural programmes. On the visit to Jabranpura, he listened to the woes of the local people and asked the officials to redress their problems with immediate effect. Alderman Sanjay Kunwar, Former Corporator Rammohan Sahu, along with Vijay Singh Thakur and others were present on the occasion. Meanwhile, the development works are being done under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.For the same, camps were organised at Zone 13, ward 59, 61, 62 and 63 to recover the development tax. BMC Illegal Colony cell recovered the amount of `24,880 from illegal colonies under ward 63, Khwaja Colony, Siddhartha Colony, Kiran Nagar, Sarvuday Colonyand Chanchal Colony, in a camp organised next to New Foundation School at Khwaja Colony.BMC has appealed the people of the respective area to recover the development tax, in the Zonal office of their respective region and participate in the development work done by BMC.
