166 Structures Razed on Nagarwada-Salatwada Road

  • The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) conducted an extensive drive to raze encroachments along the Nagarwada-Salatwada Road. The drive was taken up to clear the road for widening. According VMC officials, the drive was conducted on the stretch from the old Karelibaug police station to the Salatwada crossroads. Some heated arguments were witnessed between the razing teams and those having properties in the locality during the drive that began on Wednesday morning.The teams demolished 166 structures during its drive. These included nine shades, two cabins and 155 extensions of floors of various buildings and shops on the road. Two truckloads of material was seized by the teams during the drive.
