Bihar Govt Approves Ultratech's Proposal for Grinding Unit

  • The Bihar government today approved Ultratech Cement Ltd's proposal by for setting up a cement grinding unit at Fatuha near here at an estimated cost of Rs 326.10 crore. The proposed cement grinding unit will come up within the next 21 months, Principal Secretary (Cabinet Coordination and Secretariat) Ravikant told reporters here. The cement major will arrange for 125 acre land at the propose site on its own, he said, adding that about 246 skilled and unskilled workers would get employment at the cement unit. The proposed unit will get raw materials like gypsum from Paradip, fly ash from NTPC at Barh and clinker from Rawan cement works at Chattisgarh, Ravikant said.
