• Interserve, a travel and destination management company comprising professionals from the travel, tourism and aviation industry worldwide has decided to hold an annual conference for its members. The company recently organised its first global conference at the Hotel Ashok in New Delhi. According to Asgar Ali, Chairman, Interserve Travel Pvt. Ltd, the dates of the next conference will be announced in due time.
• Offering delegates an opportunity to network and build business partnership for their members, the two-day Interserve conference was attended by thirty eight Indian Interserve members and eleven international members. Ali said, “The conference has given Interserve members a huge value addition as it offers them a common platform on which they can network and interact with each other.” He added, “The main objective of the conference is to understand the opportunities for Interserve in the Indian Outbound space, establish an online and offline advantage for Interserve in the Outbound sector in the country, understand how suppliers from the travel industry perceive Interserve, as well as give members an opportunity to co-create future business models.” Business sessions were part of the conference with eminent speakers, both domestic and international discussing various key issues and topics.
• Talking about the benefits of a partnership with Interserve for small and medium travel agents Ali said that Interserve provides confidence, good partnership and value for money for its members and gives customers a guarantee of good service. Interserve was founded in 1996 as a nationwide network of independent IATA-approved travel agents, tour operators with 58 members, International and domestic at over 200 locations across the world.
