Oil Supply to KF Resumed

  • Troubled Kingfisher Airlines heaved a sigh of relief as oil companies on Thursday resumed fuel supplies they had stopped to the carrier a day ago.Sources in the oil PSUs said the fuel supply resumed after the cash-strapped airlines ma­de the payments owed to the oil companies. The cut in oil su­pplies, effected on Wed­ne­sday evening mainly in Mu­mbai, left at least six flights  ca­ncelled and several others delayed.Even as the Vijay Mallya-led airline was making news for all wrong reasons, the leading private carrier Jet Airways showed signs that it too had run into problems. The resumption of oil supplies has come as a breather for the troubled airlines.
