Gas Relief for A.P. Plants

  • The Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry has ordered the contractor to facilitate provision of RLNG (regasified liquefied natural gas) to power plants by swapping KG D-6 gas by making 2.5 million standard cubic metres per day (mscmd) of RLNG available to all such plants in Andhra Pradesh using the swapping arrangement.The 2.5 mscmd gas, which GAIL (India) gets from KG-D6 fields, will be supplied to Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd.GAIL will make up for the lost volume through import of LNG.
