Tantia Constructions Bags Rs 31 Cr Project from SE Railway

  • Tantia Constructions on Tuesday said it has bagged a contract worth Rs 31.40 crore from South Eastern Railway, Kolkata, for executing certain construction works on a section of Khana-Bowaichandi new line.The project work includes "earth work in formation including blanketing, construction of minor bridges, level crossing, drains and other connected works...," it said in a filing to the BSE.The company added that the work is to be executed between 3,45m to 4,148m and 6,813m to 7,261m on Khana-Bowaichandi new line and is "worth Rs 31.40 crore".

  • The Kolkata-based company has presence across different segments of the infrastructure sector, including roads and highways, railways, power transmission and aviation. In the October-December quarter, it had reported a total turnover of Rs 123 crore and net profit of Rs 1.09 crore.Shares of the company were trading at Rs 45.25 apiece on the BSE at 1330 hours, up 1.46 percent from the previous close.
