DRM Inspects Tirupur Railway Station

Information centre at the station to be modernised

  • Divisional Railway Manager Sujatha Jayaraj on Tuesday inspected Tirupur railway station to oversee the infrastructure development works.Railway sources told The Hindu that the information centre at the station would be modernised soon.“As part of the project, touch screen facilities will be set up to enable the passengers to know of the status of accommodation in various trains,” an official said.Ms. Sujatha checked the functioning of parcel office and Railway Protection Force.One of the major demands of the passengers was the need to erect platform shelter along the full length on Platform No: 2.
