• Deep Industries Ltd. has appointed Mr. Premsingh Sawhney as CEO for Exploration & Production division in its board meeting held on March 28, 2012.Mr. Prem Sawhney, CEO & DIrector, Deep Industries Limited has over 27 years of extensive and rich experience in the exploration & development of conventional & unconventional hydrocarbon resources.

• Mr. Prem Sawhney started his professional career with the national oil company ONGC gaining experience in the Exploration and Production operations of the conventional oil & gas industry. He had worked for about 10 years in ONGC. Later he moved to the private sector to gain experience in the Unconventional Hydrocarbon sector mainly Coal Bed Methane (CBM). He had also worked in Essar Group (3 years) and Reliance Industries Limited (15 years).Mr. Prem Sawhney has the distinction as the operations manager for the first ever CBM project in India. Success of this project culminated in CBM industry taking shape in the country.

• His unique CBM experience encompasses 3 commercial discoveries that have moved to development out of the 4 in total in India. In Sohagpur East & West blocks 3.65 Tcf (RIL) and in Raniganj East CBM block 2.5 Tcf (Essar) totaling to 5.75 Tcf has been established under the leadership of Mr. Prem Sawhney. In nutshell, out of 8 Tcf of total CBM resource established in the country, he has discovered 70% of such CBM resources.The Deep Industries Ltd. stock closed the day at Rs.62.40, down by Rs.2.15 or 3.33%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.67.25 and low of Rs.61.85.The total traded quantity was 0.45 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 0.42 lakhs.
