  • International Price of Crude Oil - Indian Basket Declines on 28.3.2012 to US$ 122.83/BBL 

  • The international crude oil prices for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas registered a fall of over 1 dollar to US$ 122.83 per barrel (bbl). The price, computed and published by PPAC on their website is based on last trading day’s figures of 28.03.2012. The price previously computed/ published on 28.03.2012 based on trading figures of 27.03.2012, was US$ 123.95 per bbl. 

  • In rupee terms also, the crude oil price was lower at Rs 6254.50  against Rs  6310.29 per bbl published on 27.03.2012, due to lower crude oil price in dollar while rupee/dollar exchange rate at Rs 50.92 /US$ remained almost same on 28.03.2012 as it was  on 27.03.2012 when the exchange rate was Rs 50.91 /US$.
