  • Subsidy Required for Development of Shipping Industry

  • The Union Minister of Shipping, Shri G.K. Vasan informed the Rajya Sabha today in a written reply to a question that the Government had a shipbuilding subsidy scheme from 25th October, 2002 to 14th August, 2007. Payments towards the committed liabilities under the said scheme are being made by the Government. The budgetary allocation for the year 2012-13 is Rs. 400 crore.
