Society for Petroleum Laboratory: Budget Estimates BE 2014-15

The Society for Petroleum Laboratory has written to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas regarding their Budget Estimates BE 2014-15. The Society refers to the budget meeting taken by Addl. Secretary & Financial Advisor, MoPNG on 26.11.2013 to discuss budget estimates RE 2013-14 & BE 2014-15 of Society For Petroleum Laboratory (SFPL). The meeting was attended by ED, SFPL.

As informed in the meeting by ED, SFPL, SFPL provided budget amount of INR 10.8 lakh under salary A/c. in BE 2014-15, which is up from INR 7.2 lakh as provided In BE 2013-14. Reason for Increase In salary A/c. in BE 2014-15 is given below:

  • Executive Director was appointed in SFPL for the first time in July, 2006
  • Last 7 years end revision of salary for Executive Director in SFPL has not taken place since Inception
  • Considering the above fact, Governing Council of SFPL In Its 25th meeting held on 21.09.2013 decided to increase the salary of Executive Director upto INR 10.8 lakhs (maximum limit) per annum from January, 2014

Extract of the decision taken by the Governing Council in its 25th meeting held on 21.09.2013 is reproduced below: 
"Governing Council also decided that with effect from January 2014, revised consolidated salary for ED, SFPL shall be between INR 50000 to INR 75000 depending on qualification and experience of the selected ED. Consolidated allowances (Including transport, telephone and other miscellaneous expenses) w.e.f  01.01.2014 shall be between INR 10000 to INR 15000 depending on 2014".
