Opportunities for Indian Companies in the Gulf LNG Project in Papua New Guinea

With regard to the current opportunities for Indian Companies in the Gulf LNG Project in Papua New Guinea, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has shared the status of the project and the details of the Indian companies involved in it so far. 

The MoPNG notes that the Ministry of External Affairs has informed that a consortium of OVL and PLL is already in touch with InterOil for participation in development of ELK and Antelope gas fields in Papua New Guinea (PNG). A meeting was held between PLL and InterOil officials in the month of September, 2013 and the Indian side expressed interest to Petromin PNG Holdings Ltd., a Govt. of PNG nominee Company in the Block, for the off take of 22.5 percent of the gas in the said region.
