KMC hopes to get INR 117 crore for Road Construction

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Kanpur Municipal Corporation is hoping to get INR 117 crores from state government from &#39;Awsthapana Nidhi&#39; for construction of roads in the city. The state government has not sanctioned funds under this head since last three years but it had indicated to release funds to KMC.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">The divisional commissioner had asked the municipal commissioner to furnish a list of pot-holed roads by Friday evening. He had written a letter to state government and had urged to release funds from &#39;Awsthapana Nidhi&#39; last month. The state government indicated that it was going to release funds.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">According to municipal commissioner office, more than 100 roads are in bad condition and need attention. Roads which need attention are Geetanagar to GT crossing, Vijay Nagar to Double Pulia, Kakadeo, Parade crossing to Ghantaghar, Moolganj to Meston Road, Parade crossing to Muslim Orphanage, Prem Nagar crossing to Roopam crossing, zarib Chouki to Bajaria Tiraha, Arya Nagar to Benajhabar, Tilak Nagar to VIP Road, Nawabganj to zoo and Gwaltolinullah to Gwaltoli market.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Source-On Request</span></span></span></p>
