Several Roads Identified for Reconstruction

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">In compliance with divisional commissioner&#39;s directions, Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) on Friday submitted a list of about four dozen roads in the city that require immediate reconstruction. Divisional commissioner Mahesh Kumar Gupta had earlier constituted a four&nbsp;member committee to study the condition of roads in the city and choose the ones which need immediate reconstruction on priority basis.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">The four member committee consisted of vice chairman, Kanpur Development Authority (KDA), Jaishree Bhoj, divisional commissioner KMC, DK Singh and coordinator Kanpur Samagra Vikas Yojana, Neeraj Srivastava. The state government is expected to release the fund of INR 117 crore for the same by next week.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">A meeting was called by divisional commissioner after receiving the list and it was decided to reconstruct the roads which need immediate attention. The roads on KMC&#39;s list include Naronha Crossing to Ghantaghar, Moolganj to Ghantaghar, Gopal Nagar Tiraha to Sainik Crossing, Yashoda nagar, Virendra Swarup Crossing Shyam Nagar to Mangla Vihar , Namak factory Crossing to Nizam Crossing Kidwai Nagar, Jajmau Nai Chungi Crossing to Dada Miyan Idgah, Jajmau, Karrahi main road to Kath Ka Pul, Bara Devi to Hamirpur Road, Brahma Nagar Crossing to Gumti Crossing, Sisamau Bazar to 80 feet road, and Chain factory Crossing to Vijay Nagar Crossing among others.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">There are several pot holed roads in the city which are demanding for immediate action for their up gradation. Winter rains have already enhanced the problems of citizens as pot holed roads becomes more worse and newly constructed roads left slush (upper layer of carpeted roads) at several places.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Source-On Request</span></span></span></p>
