2-tier Flyover nears completion

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">A double-decker flyover at Kasarwadi in Pimpri, where the Pune-Nashik highway meets the Pune-Mumbai highway, is nearing completion. Municipal commissioner Shrikar Pardeshi said the construction will be completed in a fortnight. Built at a cost of INR 103.51 crore, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation began work on the flyovers in July 2010.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial"><strong>Two Decks Towering Over Highways</strong></span></span></span><br /> <span style="color:rgb(105, 105, 105); font-family:arial; font-size:11px; line-height:1.6em">The upper two-lane unidirectional flyover will carry traffic coming from Pune to Bhosari and Nashik. It is 9.5m wide and 913m long. The highest point of this flyover is 20m from ground level. The lower flyover, which has two parallel stretches for two-way traffic, links Nashik Road with Pimpale Gurav, Pimpale Saudagar, Sangvi, Wakad and Aundh.</span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial"><strong>Smooth Traffic Flow</strong></span></span></span><br /> <span style="color:rgb(105, 105, 105); font-family:arial; font-size:11px; line-height:1.6em">The lower flyover is across the Mumbai-Pune highway, the railway line and the Pavana river.
