Coal India jumps after announcing interim dividend

Coal India shares jumped on Wednesday after the board of the company has approved payment of interim dividend for the financial year 2013-14 at Percent 29 a share of the face value of Percent 10 as recommended by the audit committee of the company.

The date of payment of interim dividend is on and from 25.01.2014. Shares of the company are trading at Percent 296.30, up Percent 6.4, or 2.21Percent  on Wednesday at 9:40 a.m. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Percent 304.95 and low of Percent 294.65. The total volume of shares traded at the 1,075,720.

In the earlier session, the shares lost 0.12 Percent, or Percent 0.35, at Percent 289.90. Currently, the stock is trading down 17.77Percent from its 52-week high of Percent 360.35 and above 24.31 Percent over the 52-week low of Percent 238.35.
