<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Noida Authority plans to build a U-turn near Safipur village on the Noida expressway to ease traffic congestion. It will also take other measures to streamline peak&nbsp;hour traffic rush.&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="color:rgb(105, 105, 105); font-family:arial; font-size:11px; line-height:1.6em">The new U-turn will be built between Sectors 148 and 150 near Safipur village.</span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">&quot;We will use the existing small underpass near Safipur village to make this new U-turn functional for commuters, who have to face traffic congestion especially during peak hours in the morning and evening. It will open for commuters within the next six months if all goes well,&quot; said a senior Noida Authority official.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Authority officials, including chief town planner and architect V A Devpujari, have already made an inspection of the site to design its shape.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">This new U-turn was necessitated by the traffic issues faced by Noida bound office goers and other commuters when they wanted to take a U-turn while going towards Greater Noida from Noida.&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="color:rgb(105, 105, 105); font-family:arial; font-size:11px; line-height:1.6em">To ensure a smooth ride on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, the Authority has also decided to connect Sectors 125 and 127 with a new road built along the Yamuna. This road provides additional connectivity to Sectors 125, 126, 127, 135, 150 and 168 from Delhi.</span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">&quot;If commuters of Delhi and Noida would use this new Yamuna road, then the Expressway would automatically de-congest. We will build ramps so that Sectors 125, and 127 become accessible,&quot; the official said. Revealing the details, the official said there were nearly one lakh housing units and IT offices being developed along the Expressway.
