Inputs for IOCL LPG Distributorship

Point-wise Inputs for IOCL pertaining to LPG are mentioned below:

  • There is no specific reservation for SC/ST women for LPG distributorships. However, women also can apply under this category. Moreover, all RGGLVs will be in the joint names of applicant and his/her spouse (i.e wife/husband will be co-owner of RGGLVs).  In case, the applicant is unmarried/ divorcee/ widow/ widower, an undertaking will be required to be given that after marriage/re-marriage, spouse will be made co-owner, Co-owner means spouse will be 50% partner irrespective of age, qualification and employment. Individual applicants are not permitted to enter into partnership with anyone other than their spouse. Same is also applicable for Regular distributorships where individual gets selected
  • As per the present guidelines, 22.5% locations are reserved for SC/ST category, in all the States except Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Mizoram. However, as per the guidelines circulated before Dec 12 for Regular Distributorships and Oct 12 for RGGLVs, this reservation was 25%
  • For the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Mizoram, as per guidelines, locations are reserved for ST category to the tune of 70%, 80%, 80% & 90% respectively
  • As on 01.12.2013, lOCL is having total SC/ST Regular distributorships to the tune of 24.7% of the Marketing Plan distributorships, in states other than Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Mizoram
  • In case of RGGLV, as on 01.12.2013 the SC/ST RGGLVs of IOC were 17.5% of the total RGGLVs in states other than Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Mizoram. In addition to this 555 Lols have been issued by lOCL for RGGLV which are pending for Commissioning out of which 130 LOIs are for SC/ST RGGLVs Once these RGGLVs are commissioned the SC/ST RGGLVs shall be 19.3%

  • For the location advertised under SC/ST category, if there is 'Nil' response or no eligible candidate is found or no candidate qualifies or no selected candidate is able to commission the LPG Distributorship, then that location is re-advertised under 'Open' category. However, it is ensured that the reservation is maintained on overall basis by converting corresponding number of LPG Distributorship locations under 'Open' category from the new roster to 'SC/ST' category
