S Korea's Samsung Engineering wins $441 million power plant order in Chile

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Samsung Engineering Co Ltd said on Thursday it won a $441 million order to build a power plant in Chile from a consortium of Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) and Samsung C&amp;T Corp .</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">The KOSPO-Samsung C&amp;T consortium won the original order for the power plant from BHP Billiton&#39;s Chile unit in November 2013, the engineering firm said in a statement.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">The power plant, with a production capacity of 517 megawatts, is expected to be completed in 2016 to provide electricity for a BHP Billiton copper mine.
