Underpass Project to Commence in a Month

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">A pedestrian underpass is likely to come up at the junction of RTO Road at Sathuvachari to enable people to cross the National Highway without difficulty.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">An approval for this facility is awaited, said chief general manager (CGM) of the National Highways Authority of India (south zone) Chinna Reddy, who inspected the spot where the facility is to come up.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Vellore MP Adbul Rahman, who was present, said as per the norms of the NHAI and the stipulated guidelines for the six-laning project, it is possible to have the underpass here.&rsquo;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="color:rgb(105, 105, 105); font-family:arial; font-size:11px; line-height:1.6em">&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve took up the issue with the Highways Minister Oscar Fernandes. He instructed the present CGM of NHAI to do the needful,&rdquo; Rahman added.
