Implementation of BS-IV Grades of MS & HSD

<p><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">BS-IV grade fuels were introduced in the select 11 cities of the country during 2010-11 in line with &quot;Auto Fuel Policy&quot; of MoP&amp;NG, and additionally in another 2 cities implementation of BS IV grade fuels was done in 2010-11 along-with other identified cities. During 2011-12, BS-IV implementation was done in 7 additional cities. To take the process further, MoPNG has set a target to introduce BS-IV fuels in 50 cities in a phased&nbsp; manner during 2010-15 based on&nbsp; vehicular population, state capitals&nbsp;logistics &amp; extent of pollution in such cities.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">In co-ordination with Oil Marketing Companies, implementation of BS-IV grades MS &amp; HSD was successfully completed in 10 additional cities during 2012-13.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Industry has confirmed that 3 cities of Medhak, Mehboobnagar and Nizamabad have been converted to BS IV w.e.f. 01.07.2013.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">A meeting convened by JS(R) on 6<sup>th</sup> August 2013 on extention of BS IV fuels in additional cities during the balance year of 2013-14. Industry, during the meeting,<br /> confirmed that it would be ready for roll out of BS IV fuels in the cities of Vrindavan,KosiKalan, Dholpur, Hindaun City,&nbsp; Ahmednagar, Mahabaleshwar and Vishakhapatnam.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">During the meeting, JS(R) informed that Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has suggested that it would issue necessary notifications on extension of BS<br /> IV fuels twice a year only, and hence industry was advised to plan implementation of BS IV fuels in additional cities w.e.f. 1<sup>st</sup> January and 1<sup>st</sup> July of each year.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="color:#696969"><span style="font-size:11px"><span style="font-family:arial">Source:SNP Infra Research</span></span></span></p>
