Neyveli Lignite net jumps 121 Percent to INR 489 Cr

Neyveli Lignite on Thursday reported a 120.6 Percent spurt in net profit to INR 489.02 crore for the third quarter ended December 31 on the back of rise in other income. The company’s net profit in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year stood at INR 221.65 crore. Total income from operations increased to INR 1,314.95 crore compared to INR 1,255.70 crore a year ago. Other income zoomed to INR 553.41 crore versus INR 115.44 crore in Q3FY13. “Other income includes INR 426.63 crore towards dues of surcharge and interest receivable from Tangedco,” the company said.
