NTPC Talcher Super Thermal Power Station celebrated National Safety Day was on 04.03.2014 with full spirit and commitment for safety.Chief Guest of the occasion, Shri.V.B.Fadnavis, Executive Director(Talcher Kaniha) on this occasion unfurled the safety flag in presence of Shri.U.K.Dasgupta ,GM(Maintenance) & Shri.V.B.Sharma,DC(CISF) along with senior officials & CISF personnel. Shri.Fadnavis stressed on ensuring efficient safety measures on the job to achieve “Zero accident” while addressing to the gathering.

Later Safety pledge was administered by Executive Director & senior officials in English,hindi & oriya to all employees & security personnel.Thereafter,a two minutes of silence was observed in memory of those who have sacrificed their lives during Construction,Erection ,Operation & Maintenance activities of the station.

Safety banners, posters and slogans displayed at various strategic locations to spread the awareness of safety messages & measures. Surakhya Jyoti Awards were awarded to  best three agencies from Boiler & Maintenance Dept(BMD)  & Electrical Maintenance Dept(EMD). In addition, three best fire personnel for contributing towards Plant fire safety activities and ten best safety conscious workmen from different agencies were awarded during the celebration.
