One of MRPL phase III units goes on stream

The ‘coker heavy gas oil hydro treating unit’, a secondary processing facility of the phase III refinery expansion project of MRPL (Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd) with a capacity to process 0.65 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), went on stream on Sunday. A company press release said here that the unit has been built with an investment of about INR 443 crore. This is the first unit in MRPL to be commissioned and operated by women operators on round-the-clock shift basis, it said.
