Sanjiv Singh takes over as IOC's director of Refineries

State-run Indian Oil Corp said Sanjiv Singh has taken over as director of refineries at the state-owned company. Singh succeeded Raj Kumar Ghosh, who retired on Monday.

Singh was working as executive director at the Paradip refinery in Odisha. He has been executive director at the Panipat refinery in Haryana and was responsible for setting up the project, the naphtha cracker unit and other downstream polymer units.

A graduate in chemical engineering from IIT Roorkee, Singh joined Indian Oil Corp in 1981 and has worked in various positions at Mathura, Barauni and Panipat refineries. Singh, who will be heading the refineries division of the country's largest refiner, will seek to strengthen operations by revamping, de-bottlenecking and modernisation of process units.
