Live Budget 2014-15: FM announces INR 37,850 cr for NHAI; 16 New port Projects

Finance Minister Arun Jaitely announced a host of measures to boost the transport, logistics, exports and other sectors. He allocated INR 200 crore for setting up six more textile clusters; INR 10,000 crore fund to start-up firms; INR 5,000 crore for far warehousing plan and INR 11,635 crore for harbour projects.

In a big push for transport the FM announced INR 37,850 crore investment in NHAI (including INR 3,000 crore for north-east), 16 new port projects to be awarded in FY15; new airports through PPP. "A modern country needs multiple modes of transport," Jaitley said.
