Foreign Players Keen on INR 2500 Crore High Speed Train Projects in India

Global giants such as Bombardier, Hyundai-ROTEM, TALGO and CAF have queued up to manufacture semi high-speed train sets in India, which will be used for faster inter-city travel.

The Multi-National Manufacturing Companies like TALGO, CAF and Bombardier has shown keen interest to manufacture train sets for high speed train projects in India.  The project has in store huge opportunity not only for the foreign players but also the domestic manufacturers as the project has envisaged manufacturing around 85% of the coaches in India. However, considering the constrains in terms of technology and capacity, the target seems doubtful for the domestic players.
