Companies are Bullish About Transmission Projects

Six companies, including Power Grid Corp, Adani Power and Sterlite Grid, have submitted financial bids for three power transmission projects worth Rs 3,662 crore.

Chhattisgarh has huge power generation capacity and with large future capacity addition potential. These transmission projects are going to increase the power evacuation capacity of the state. Also the transmission process strengthening in the state may smoothen the transmission corridor for power evacuation from power surplus eastern region to deficit southern region through western region. Also these projects may encourage future private participation in transmission infrastructure augmentation and strengthening.
