Domestic players face a stiff price competition from Chinese and South Korean companies to develop gas insulated substations in India. These overseas firms are known for their sub standard quality and are blacklisted in their domestic market. This might lead to extended project completion time and that to compromising on the quality. The need of the hour is to check overall background of the companies before offering them contract irrespective of the price quoted by them.
