SNP Insights:

Undoubtedly, this move of IR reduces the dependency on conventional energy, thus reducing the emissions and carbon foot print. This move by the IR may help government in achieving ambitious target of 100 GW by 2020 and may also help small players to benefit from the distributed rooftop implementation which now seems missing in large scale solar power plant. With IR tapping the potentials in clean energy like solar and wind, the opportunity seems to widen for the developers and manufacturers.
