Smart Highway Concept: A Model Project for Other Highway Stretches.

News:

The upcoming Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) will be the country's first and the smartest highway stretch with features of most advanced intelligent traffic system (ITS).There will be enough signage besides the VMS that will display information for drivers, enough number of blinkers and we will also have a highway advisory system (HAS) that will update the drivers through digital radio system.

Indian Highway Stretches which carries 40% of total road traffic are famous for its poor conditions, heavy traffic and improper management. The proposed smart highway stretch inline with King'sHighway 401 in Canada  can be adopted in other highway stretches to ensure smooth and safer trasit by making use of new technologies like ITS, HAS etc.
