Promises for 42 Mega Park to be Operational by 2019 Paving Way for Make in India

All the 42 mega food parks approved by the government will become operational by 2019, which will yield a potential investment of about Rs 14,000 crore, Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal has said.

The proposed Mega Food Park Scheme seems to have gained momentum as the Government aims to fast track the implementation process 42 Mega Food Parks. It will in turn provide for creating an infrastructure for farm level primary processing-cum cold chain in identified cluster with a total investment of INR 14000 Cr. Thus it will be interesting to see in due course whether there is timely execution of all the projects or not as it is one of the flagship projects under Make in India program of the Government.
