Ensuring Stability of the Grid is Need of the Hour as Investments are Rushing in for Renewable

Global infrastructure investment manager I Squared Capital, as part of its India strategy, has taken its first bet on the country’s green energy sector. It plans to invest $150 million in Amplus Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd, which sets up distributed solar power generation projects in India.

Investments are pouring in for the development of renewable energy in India. These investments might help to achieve the govt's target of installing 175 GW of renewable energy by 2022. The question, which still is unanswered,  is about the stability of the grid, as the generation from the renewable sources is fluctuating and hence can make the grid unstable.
