Investment Proposals worth INR 90,000 Cr Received for Electronic Manufacturing: Renewed Focus under MSIP Scheme

The government has received Rs 90,000 crore investment proposals in the last two months for electronics manufacturing in India, with both local and foreign firms showing significant interest in making mobile phones.

The Modified Special Incentive Package Scheme ( MSIPS) has in turn garned huge interest from both foreign as well as Indian players. The interim benefits like creation of employment oppotunites, lower manufacturing costs can be materialised once the projects are completed.
