The World Bank has shown keen interest in supporting smart city and urban development projects in Maharashtra

With the keen interest from foreign funding agencies, the 100 smart city project seems to gain large momentum in project execution. Aided with the smart city projects, the infrastructure segments like railways, metro rail and urban development seems to get an extended support from these funding agencies such as World Bank. Further improvement in the policy schemes on investment and ease of doing business may attract more investor and may help in widening the opportunity scope.
