Need of the hour is to revive the financial position of the distribution utilities. Providing financial backup will not suffice to the need of utilities. Multiple issues like subsidies, high AT&C losses etc should be dealt with utmost priority, which might help the utilities to achieve a healthy balance sheet in coming years.
