Li-ion Battery for Electric Vehicles, First Step towards Commercialization

Though electric vehicles have been Govt’s dream, realization has not been easy with many deterrents like the cost of electric vehicles, cost of batteries & charging infrastructure. To make electric vehicles a success commercialization is a must and this is EV’s first baby step towards the goal. With Mahindra tying up with LG Chem and delivering batteries or cars at par with global standards other companies will follow suit and boost up the EV market for sure. Mahindra and other automobile companies need to ensure that the price of batteries and cars are competitive with conventional engines as the success of EV largely depends on it. Govt needs to ensure that charging infrastructure is available at a drop of the hat to attract consumers unceasingly.
