Solar Auctions Hit Badly, Safeguard and Anti-dumping Duty the Real Culprit?

With the proposition of 70% safeguard duty doing the rounds, the much enthusiastic solar sector has lost its glow. Developers are deliberately giving auctions a miss in the fear that if the law changes their entire projects will become unviable. Govt needs to ensure project viability even with duty hikes to keep attracting developers to auctions and Govt also needs to maintain a balance in the hikes for the entire sector to prosper.
