Inland Water Trade between India and Bangladesh

Interstate business is favorable for economic growth and stability and is best carried out with both the involved parties benefitting. India has been a trading with Bangladesh for a long time now but the growth rate has remained stagnant as trade has become costly due to non-containerized road transport so this comes as a welcome move as inland river transport is economical than road cargo due to the lesser logistics cost involved. Govt needs to ensure that talks with Bangladesh are completed as soon as possible and the commencement of the project is hassle free.
