Coal Supply, Headache for Power Plants

Power plants have been struggling with coal supply and storage for a long time and power generation has taken a hit because of it and it has spurred spot electricity prices in exchange. Govt needs to ensure CIL keeps up with the required amount of supply and plants are storing coal. Import of coal might be a temporary solution but for a long run Govt needs to fasten the process of privatization. Renewable energy is certainly a help but the power requirement is too much to be dependent on renewable alone.
