Lack of Long-Term PPA may soar High Price & Volumes in Spot Market.

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt">Discoms unwillingness to sign long-term PPAs, may dwindle power supply position this fall. Climate changes and upsurge in temperature has abruptly increased demand. Exchanges may also experience more power purchases from Discoms else discoms may opt for more power cuts. Currently, states in Northern &amp; Western India&nbsp;are drawing more power to cater rising demand. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:10pt">Government must mull over Coal Supply issues else power crisis may creep in form of frequent power cuts or unexpected rise in prices in spot market. Intermittent Power supplies may also have a cascading effect on output of manufacturing &amp; process based industries, thus increasing in inflation.</span></p>
